Snap happy Luke is a star of the future
A gifted youngster from Milton hopes to make a career as a photographer when he’s older.
Young Luke Tocher is just 14, but is already showing his skills – after winning the Star Photo competition in the last issue of the Key magazine.
Luke, 14, a pupil at All Saints Secondary School, has been talking photographs since he was eight.
And the talented teen likes taking interesting, unusual images, mostly of nature and animals.
Luke said: “I like the peace and quiet you get taking photos.
“Photographing nature is so peaceful. I like taking pictures of animals too – you can get some funny pictures of them.
“I think the angle and colour of things help make a good photograph.
“My favourite subject at school is art, and I like drawing.
“In 10 years I’d love to be working for myself, maybe travelling and taking photographs of different places.”
Proud mum Nicola, 38, said she quickly realised that Luke had talent.
She added: “I’m so proud of Luke. He’s a fantastic boy.
“He took to taking photographs straight away and we realised he had talent.
“I would love to see him running his own business one day.”
