Community centre given makeover thanks to GHA

An old store room at Acre Community Hall has been transformed into a computer room for local people thanks to GHA.

Acre computer room before and after

A local Community Volunteer at the Summerston and Acre Committee meeting contacted us to ask for help to clear a room so it could be used for new computers.

The Community Hall had just received funding for five desks and computers for local residents to use.

Our Neighbourhood Environmental Team were happy to help with this community project and got to work clearing the room of the old boxes and rubbish.

Residents are now using the facilities to look for work, pay bills, get online shopping discounts - or just learn the basics of how to use a computer.

The NETs also cut the grass (pictured below) and tidied the surrounding area ahead of the community Gala Day on 4 August to make sure kids could enjoy the day.
