Summer makeover in Carmunnock
A community garden in Carmunnock has been given a summer makeover thanks to GHA and friends.
Residents at the Livingwell homes for tenants aged 55+ at Gallowhill Road asked if GHA could brighten up their garden so they could enjoy it during the nice weather.
Tenants told us they love sitting out in the sunshine and having a natter and a cup of tea with friends and neighbours.
GHA's Neighbourhood Environmental Team joined forces with volunteers from the local McDonald's in Castlemilk to help.
Old garden furniture was replaced with fantastic new tables, benches and garden chairs.
Wooden planters were given a lick of paint and new bedding plants added leaving the garden looking as good as new.
