Wheatley Group offers a rolling programme of modern apprenticeships. These apprenticeships provide opportunities for young people and result in an accredited SVQ qualification. In addition to this we also offer our Changing Lives programme which provides paid training opportunities, supporting people across our communities to make a sustained return to employment. Moreover as part of our Wheatley Pledge scheme we work with our partners and suppliers to provide a wage incentive to local employers that provide jobs, apprenticeships or training places for unemployed tenants and customers.

Wheatley Homes Glasgow does not make inappropriate use of zero hour contracts. The vast majority of our staff have permanent full-time contracts of employment with guaranteed contracted hours. Part-time hours may also be offered, where this is requested by the individual or where backfilling another part-time vacancy.

Wheatley Homes Glasgow monitors and reports gender pay gap in line with legislation. The results of each set of figures are presented to our Board and appropriate actions are agreed and taken.
