There's a big demand for more homes in Glasgow – but not everyone qualifies for social housing.

Mid-market rent homes are available to people who are working and earning between £21,000 and £40,000.

They offer alternative affordable housing for those on a modest income and who may not qualify for social housing, be able to buy their own home or afford full-market rent.

Our mid-market homes are owned by GHA but let and managed by our sister organisation, Lowther Homes.

Ibroxholm Oval
A £7million refurbishment of a multi-storey block in 2013 provides 98 affordable, energy-efficient flats at Ibroxholm Oval in the south side of the city for mid-market rent.

Shawbridge Street
The same year, we refurbished 40 flats at Shawbridge Street in Pollokshaws at a cost of £3.4million.

Lowther Homes developments to come

Work on 20 new mid-market homes in Cessnock will be completed in summer 2017.

A further 400 mid-market homes will be developed in nine areas of the city. We are also looking at new sites which could see another 400 homes built.
