Working with partners, we deliver a wide range of community-based wider action activities and services that help make your neighbourhood a safer, better place to live. We offer great opportunities to families and individuals (particularly elderly, disabled or vulnerable people) that will help improve your quality of life.
Get involved!
You can get involved in wider action activities through your local housing organisation. You can:
- Enter garden competitions
- Access health and wellbeing services
- Enjoy new, improved children’s play areas
- Use our financial advice
- Get help with odd jobs around your home
There are loads of opportunities for you to make the most of being a GHA tenant.
Just to give you an idea of what we mean, our Community Jannies project recruits long-term unemployed people to carry out environmental work in neighbourhoods across Glasgow. So far 346 trainees have signed up and 200 of them are GHA tenants. Out of all the trainees, 205 have gone on to find permanent jobs.
