GHA and the other partners in our family have created a new parent company called the Wheatley Housing Group.
The move is designed to make GHA stronger so we can continue to deliver good value services, more affordable homes and better communities.
The launch of the group comes after a year of growth for the GHA family which saw us form a new partnership with Cube Housing Association and set up a new subsidiary, Lowther Homes, which provides mid-market rental homes.
We’ve called our group ‘Wheatley’ in tribute to the Glasgow MP John Wheatley, who became known as the father of social housing.
The Wheatley Group comprises:

- Lowther Homes
- YourPlace Property Management
The Wheatley Group is also working with West Lothian Housing Partnership on a proposal for them to join the group later this year, subject to approvals. Visit the Wheatley Group website
We’ll remain firmly rooted in local communities and continue to involve you fully in decisions about your home and your neighbourhood. But by working together with the other companies in the Wheatley Group we’ll be able to use our size and scale to do more for communities.
