GHA launches new mobile website

Wednesday, July 04, 2012

Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) has launched a handy new mobile website which means tenants can report a repair using their smart phones.

The new service will allow tenants to get in touch to report a repair, report anti-social behaviour and catch up on the latest GHA news – all from the palm of their hands.

Anyone looking for a property in the west of Glasgow will also be able to find a home through GHA’s choice-based letting system, Homechoice.

The new service makes it even easier for tenants to contact GHA via a Blackberry, Android or iPhone – wherever and whenever it suits them.

GHA is the first social landlord in Scotland to introduce the service.

Toni Anderson, who lives in a GHA home in Drumchapel, said: “Everybody’s into technology these days so I think this new mobile website will be used a lot.

“The layout is clear and it will definitely make it easier for people to get in touch. It’s a really good idea.”

Fanchea Kelly, GHA’s Executive Director of Housing and Support Services, added: “Almost half of GHA households who use the internet do so through their mobile phones and we want our services to reflect that.

“We want tenants to access our services 24/7, and this new service makes it quicker and easier for tenants to get in touch wherever and whenever they want.”

Tenants just have to visit www.gha.org.uk to access the full range of services.
