We are always looking for new tenants and welcome new applications.
We aim to deliver excellent customer service to all of our tenants and actually put our tenants at the heart of everything we do. We regularly seek their feedback to help us improve our services and we are fully committed to having a positive impact on their lives.
We provide modern, comfortable homes and work with partners on many community-based initiatives such as tackling antisocial behaviour, opening the door to employment for people who’ve been out of work for a long time and finding the antidote to Glasgow’s well-documented health problems.
You do not need to live in Glasgow to apply for a house with GHA but you must be at least 16 years of age.
Advantages of renting with GHA
- Excellent tenancy rights
- Housing Benefit payments welcome
- No deposit needed
- Typically lower rents than the private rented sector
- We are regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator, which ensures tenants receive a good standard of service and accommodation
- We maintain our properties.
Need to know
- Access for most people is via the waiting list
- You will need to fill in an application form first
- You may have to apply to more than one landlord
- There may be a wait for properties in some areas (in our most popular areas this could extend to years)
- Properties are usually completely unfurnished, although we do have a Furnished Lets Service available.
We have a citywide network of 59 local housing organisations (LHOs) delivering frontline services to our customers. When you are applying for a house with GHA you need to apply directly to the LHO covering the area where you want to live.
