Welcome!

A new Glasgow Housing Association is emerging … closer to its customers and communities and closer to its partners and stakeholders.

It’s a GHA that has a unique and distinctive role to play in the Glasgow housing and regeneration market as we seek to do more for tenants, owners and their communities.

We have a real determination to deliver excellent services to our tenants and factored homeowners and to help achieve this we are strengthening our frontline teams, with more housing officers where they’re needed most – listening to and helping our customers.

We are also creating area teams in line with the city’s Strategic Planning areas so that we can work better with our partners – such as Glasgow City Council, Strathclyde Police, Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and NHS Greater Glasgow – to deliver more co-ordinated services.

We have a fresh focus on giving tenants a say on whether they want to transfer their homes to community ownership through the process known as Second Stage Transfer.

And we are also committed to finishing the promises made at transfer, investing in the homes and communities we serve. That includes our massive programme to modernise and refurbish homes across the city. We have already invested £957million upgrading properties.

As a substantial, long-term landlord, GHA will devolve as much decision-making and services as close as possible to tenants and factored homeowners but we will continue to use our scale to deliver efficiencies and demonstrate value for customers, stakeholders and our funders.
GHA is a not-for-profit organisation, a Registered Social Landlord, an Industrial and Provident Society and a registered charity. We are regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator.

Our corporate offices are based in Glasgow’s city centre and we have a citywide network of local housing organisations delivering frontline services to our customers.

Better homes, better lives
